Tumi Makgabo


Tumi Makgabo was appointed (in January 2006) directly by Jordaan as communications manager for Fifa's World Cup Organising Committee South Africa. Her appointment is up for review at the end of 2006.


In 2000, Tumi moved from working at SABC3 (where he was a newsreader) to CNN, where she worked as prime-time anchor of its Inside Africa programme. She has interviewed George Bush, Thabo Mbeki, covered the Iraq war, South Africa's 2004 elections and the September 11 Al Qaeda attacks.
